Oconomowoc Wisconsin Attractions
Winter is cold here, but residents make the most of it, and the self-proclaimed "Water Park Capital of the World" brings summer fun indoors, so you can experience water fun in the middle of Wisconsin winter. Here are some of our favorite water parks and many more attractions to explore in Oconomowoc.
Whether you stay at the inn on the pine terrace or take a morning, noon, day or evening walk, you can't miss the charm and beauty of the lake. It's easy to fill a day in Oconomowoc with a visit to one of the city's most popular attractions, such as the Wisconsin State Fair, the Great Lakes Aquarium and many more.
Downtown is located on the south side of Fowler and is only a short walk from the Inn, but it is located on a south side of Fowler. Start at the bright boulder park, take the isthmus and then open the highway. E. E. Kilbourn Road through the swamp to the closed rapids. This section starts well, but becomes muckmäuschenstill near the sewage treatment plant, so start with a bright, wooden- and -stony garden.
The best access is from the bridge, where you can get off at the tiny rapids and pull your boat ashore. There is no bridge to take, but there are a few reefs in the river section that are fantastic with their breathtaking water clarity. The section near the treatment plant is only mediocre, so be careful: there is a bridge that takes you to the other side of the treatment plant, which is only a short walk away.
Those who feel uncomfortable parking in the utility area can park on the shoulder of Highway BB, where there is plenty of space, but the parking possibilities - boundary signs and lack of parking spaces do not make an attractive approach.
If you are a picky paddler, you should rent a pontoon boat, visit one of these beautiful lakes or go cycling on Lac La Belle (see map for details).
